DO I NEED TO BE AT A CERTAIN ABILITY LEVEL TO TRAIN OR TAKE CLASSES WITH MIND.BODY.TRAIN™?

When something is universally worth doing, you'll see it everywhere. The principles used in MIND.BODY.TRAIN™ classes and sessions apply to anyone looking to perform at their best every day. While the methods are aimed at those who have high volume of training and repetitive movement, anyone looking to balance their body and mind will benefit. On the flip side, high performance always includes taking time to revisit and execute the fundamentals. Suzy spends some of her time training high performance athletes, but the everyday athletes are her laboratory!

HOW IS SUZY YEAGLEY DIFFERENT FROM OTHER TRAINERS?

Suzy has a unique blend of personal and professional experiences that allow her to fill gaps and find solutions within training systems. As the wife of an NCAA Division I head coach and daughter-in-law of a legendary coach, she has seen all perspectives of training and communication within high performance environments. As a mother of athletes, she understands the parent's perspective. As a movement professional, she is versatile due to her background as a Biology Teacher, Gymnastics Coach, Pilates teacher, Movement Coach, and Licensed Manual Therapist. Her hybrid-approach and wide-reaching abilities save time, energy, and money for busy professionals. She is able to serve in various capacities as a full-time physical trainer or in a temporary capacity, such as the completion of end-range rehab/return to play, or just to provide athletes with "tools in the toolbox," empowering them to take hold of their own training in just a few weeks.

WHY TRAIN BAREFOOT?

Simply put, your feet were meant for you. While athletics and outdoor activities may require footwear, the body must be able to support itself. Performing supplemental training barefoot helps to align the body and create strength in the feet, your only source of contact with the ground (yes...we also train the hands!) Please follow our blog for continuous information on barefoot training, as well as attention to the hands, the dynamic core, the body systems, and all of the senses. Everything is connected to everything else!

WHAT DOES IT MEAN WHEN YOU SAY, "MIND.BODY.TRAIN™ BRINGS THE BODY BACK TO WHERE IT'S MEANT TO BE?"

The aim of MIND.BODY.TRAIN™ is to fill the gaps of training. Most athletes have a coach to train their sport and a strength coach for absolute strength, power and speed. But few athletes (especially those in non-revenue sports) have resources and time dedicated to basic physical preparation and recovery, as well as daily habits that re-balance the nervous system for recovery and the joints for injury reduction. MIND.BODY.TRAIN™ is geared toward empowering the athlete to learn and apply simple techniques in  smart ways to take care of themselves for the long-term.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MIND.BODY.TRAIN™ AND BLOOMINGTON BODY BAR?

MIND.BODY.TRAIN™ is the training philosophy behind the studio, Bloomington Body Bar. While we've always used the term (and have a trademark for) MIND.BODY.TRAIN™, or mind-body training studio, to describe our methods, Bloomington Body Bar is our physical location in Bloomington, Indiana. As COVID-19 has swept the globe in 2020, MIND.BODY.TRAIN™ has gained prevalence as our online presence for virtual training. Going online has allowed us to reach across the nation!
